The mission of the Health Department is to preserve, protect and promote the health and welfare of the citizens of Grundy County. In order to achieve this purpose we offer various programs and services specifically designed to meet the needs of our community.

AFTER HOURS EMERGENCIES Call: 815-942-0336 which is the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department. The Sheriff’s Department will notify the Health Department Administrator.

The GROWS (Grundy Resource of Opportunity for Wellness and Sustainability) Garden committee is ready to kick off the garden’s second year.

In continuing to address the IPLAN (Illinois Project for Local Assessment of Needs) of the community, the Grundy County Health Department along with our community partners encourage residents to participate in making this year a success by volunteering services, or donations.

Monetary or material donations from local organizations and residents provide tools and other resources needed to maintain the initial garden and begin expanding throughout Grundy County.
