There is a vast difference between alternative and Integrative Medicine. The June 7, 2012 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine states that...
“Integrative medicine…is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapies. In contrast, alternative therapies are used instead of conventional interventions, often without evidence of effectiveness.”
